Media Technician 

We are working with a Further Education provider in Cambridge who requires a media technician to support their music and creative industries departments and students. This is a 10 week temporary position, starting quickly for the right person, working at the college’s Cambridge campus.

On a day-to-day basis you’ll be involved with:

• Showing students how to use media equipment, as well as demonstrating processes and techniques
• Preparing learning materials
• Maintaining the college’s equipment, studios and resources
• Ensuring Health and Safety regulations are adhered to
• Assisting with the department’s activities such as gigs, shows and other events
• Booking in and out equipment and studios
• Maintaining stock levels and records, ensuring equipment is fully operational, or managing/making appropriate repairs

The ideal person for this role will have:

• Worked as a technician, or similar, in the media sector including film, music, radio etc.
• H& S knowledge and skills
• Excellent technical and media skills, including digital media software
• Natural organisation skills
• MS Office.

This temporary position offers an hourly rate of £13 – 14.11 per hour, plus holiday pay and is initially for a 10 week period working 37 hours per week.
